Our comprehensive approach We advance technologies for low-resource settings. Technologies must be effective, culturally acceptable, available, and affordable to the people who need them most. We strengthen health systems, because only stable systems can make use of technologies, and because all people—no matter where they live—need and deserve reliable health information and services. We encourage healthy behaviors, working with communities to help people examine—and challenge—assumptions and traditions that may contribute to poor health. Extending our reach To make sure we have the highest impact possible, we assemble dynamic teams with complementary skills. PATH’s partners range from government ministries to local theater troupes to some of the largest commercial manufacturers in the world. We recognize that effective health solutions must be more than scientifically sound; they must also be culturally relevant.
