Spectra Tech has an immediate need for an Emergency Communications Engineer in Greenville, SC. 

Job Description:

This position will serve as a Radio/Communications Designer with demonstrated subject matter expertise with industrial and nuclear Public Address/Emergency Communications requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical direction, guidance and demonstrated expertise in the development and implementation of the Public Address, Emergency Notification and Mass Notification systems designs.
• Develop and implement effective voice communications designs for compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
• Apply working knowledge of National Fire Protection Association Codes, IBC, ISA, and IEEE regulatory requirements to site facilities.

Basic Job Requirements:

• Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twenty (20) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-two (22) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.
• Technical reviews of client, contractor, and vendor documentation relating to CCTV systems, trunked mobile radio systems, telephone systems, data communications systems, pipeline SCADA communications, radio telemetry systems and networking protocols.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Other Job Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Degree in Audio Engineering, Electronics or Electrical Engineering (Associates or BS) a plus, and may offset some required years of experience.
• Experience with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), IBC, ISA, and IEEE codes and standards.
• CAD experience in 2D MicroStation or AutoCAD drawing.
