Successful candidate will be proficient in mechanical, hydraulic pneumatic knowledge and troubleshooting skills as it pertains to forklifts and heavy equipment. Quality, safety and production will need to be challenged by analyzing and fostering a Continuous Improvement Program.
Successful candidate will maintain and improve the PM program with maintenance and operations; maintain fleet of rolling stock for plant site; conduct PMs on equipment and maintain documentation relating to daily maintenance; be a proactive part of improving plant safety and in communicating safety issues and behaviors; communicate effectively, work through process of project justification, risk management, goal setting, cause and effect / troubleshooting with employee involvement, evaluating progress, process completion, and follow up.
Basic Qualifications: Qualifications include a minimum of 5 years forklift and heavy equipment repair experience; possess a thorough electrical knowledge of all industrial rolling stock; strong mechanical/electrical knowledge and ability to trouble shoot and keep rolling stock and PM program operating; possess hydraulics experience and troubleshooting skills, pneumatic experience and troubleshooting skills, and welding and fabrication experience. Basic computer knowledge of Word and Excel are also required.
