A Stand Tech ensures that mill housings are prepared and ready for installation onto mill stands.
- Must be able to assemble and disassemble mill housings as required.
- Must be able to transport rolls from the roll shop to set up shop via forklift and crane.
- Must have good mechanical skills.
- Have a basic understanding of principles of rolling.
- Perform whatever duties that may arise in other disciplines as their skill level allows.
- Basic computer skills
- Must be forklift and crane certified
- Work on a day shift but could include nights, weekends and holidays
- Able to work overtime as required
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Must be able to learn quickly and multi-task
- Ability to work in extreme heat
High school diploma or GED required
