NCH is established, yet growing and we are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst Intern to join our Plumbing Products Group (PPG, Inc.). As part of the PPG team, the Intern would be responsible for helping out in the day to day Supply Planning activities including reporting/analyzing the movement of goods through the supply pipeline, monitoring current demand trends, identifying and analyzing gaps, and developing process improvements. The Supply Chain Analyst Intern is expected to use their skills in Excel with advanced proficiency in pivot tables, vlookups, sumif, etc developing formulas ad hoc and spreadsheet analysis to help the Demand-Supply Planning teams to identify, understand and implement corrective actions utilizing Oracle ERP system. The ideal candidate should have advanced understanding and ability to collaborate with Supply Chain, Product Management, Finance, Sales, Warehouse and Distribution teams.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze Demand- Supply gaps to optimize inventory and customer service/fill-Rate

• Generate appropriate reporting (including forecast review, out of stock early warning, variance analysis, and historical/forecast adjustments) and recommend action plans to achieve improved results.

• Drive other ad-hoc analyses, inventory/financial models, and reporting as needed to support Supply Chain team decision making and maintain key SC KPIs/metrics

• Analyze inventory supply against Demand/Sales forecast to identify potential gaps/imbalances and provide suggestions for improvement.
• Participate and drive Supply Chain analytics as part of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
• Ability to consolidate input from multiple data sources (Sales: Domestic and Overseas, Vendors, Account Managers, Product Management) and consolidate into actionable summary plan.
• Support monthly inventory forecasting process by reviewing open purchase order statuses and current Sales/COGS forecast from Demand Planning Team.

Skills:

• Bachelor of Science with concentration in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Management Information Systems, Finance or Supply Chain (MS/MBA in-progress a plus).

• 1-3 years of experience in supply chain environment.

• Prior ERP work a plus (Oracle 11i or R12 preferred).

• Experience with Forecasting software/statistical packages a plus, including Demantra, ForecastPro, SAS, or others

• Work experience analyzing global supply chain networks and delivering specific business value through data-driven insights.

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; familiar with logistics and demand planning concepts, broad range of computer skills-databases, PL/ SQL queries, MS Office Suite (Excel - Excel with Lookups, Excel based logic formulas and Pivot Tables, Access), Tableau, statistics, and logistics software packages; self-directed; ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change; comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels; project management skills.
