NCH is established, yet growing and we are seeking a Demand Planning Intern to join our Plumbing Products Group (PPG, Inc.). As part of the PPG team, the Intern would be responsible for helping out in the day to day Supply Planning activities including forecasting/reporting/analyzing the demand patterns for Danco and LSP Channels/Customers, monitoring current demand trends, identifying and analyzing gaps, and developing SKU level recommendations/overrides. The Supply Chain/Demand Planning intern is expected to use their skills in Excel (and ForecastPro) with advanced proficiency in pivot tables, vlookups, sumif, etc developing formulas ad hoc and spreadsheet analysis. This to help the Demand Planning Team identify, understand and implement corrective actions for our Monthly S&OP/Forecasting process. The ideal candidate should have advanced understanding and ability to collaborate with Sales, Marketing/Product Management, Supply Chain Planning/Purchasing, Finance, and Warehouse/Distribution teams.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze Demand trends/patterns to override/optimize the Forecast, working mostly in Excel

• Generate Forecasting Metrics, reporting including variance analysis/root causing and recommended action plans to achieve improved results across SKUs for our different Channels/Customers

• Other projects as needed

Skills:

• Bachelor of Science with concentration in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Management Information Systems (MS/MBA in-progress a plus).

• 1-3 years of experience in supply chain environment is a plus

• Excellent Excel skill

• Prior ForecastPro experience is a plus (or other forecasting system)

• Experience with Forecasting software/statistical packages a plus, including Demantra, ForecastPro, SAS, or others

• Work experience analyzing demand patterns/forecast and delivering specific business value through data-driven insights
