Job/Internship Description

A day in the life of an IT Intern

As an IT intern, individuals will work part-time in an on-the-job training program. This is a learning position which performs a variety of functions specific to the department that corresponds with the intern's field of study. This individual will be assigned a department specific project to complete during their time as an intern. Interns will have the opportunity to meet with management and leadership to learn about the corporate culture while gaining hands-on technical experience.

This internship is for the spring and summer semesters in 2018.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts a full range of programming tasks, including programming design, program coding, debugging, and system documentation. Uses various databases for technical solutions.
  • Assists in identifying requirements and constraints, designing mobile user interfaces, and creating or modifying database components.
  • Writing, testing, and documenting code while completing projects on time.
  • Communicates programs and projects to other developers and presents to project stakeholders.
  • Participates in testing and code reviews based upon department standards and guidelines for programs written by co-workers.

What you can bring to MSUFCU

  • High school diploma required
  • Actively pursuing Associate or Bachelor degree in related field of study
  • 1+ years of experience with at least one of the following languages Java, C++, C#, Python, PHP, Objective-C, or Swift preferred
  • Knowledge of HTML/HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript preferred
