Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Electrical Engineering Co-Op, we'll count on you to:

* Offer CAD support utilizing AutoCAD and Microstation for aviation lighting design;

* Support Electrical department with general design calculations in addition to general support to the design and construction staff

* Assist with writing reports based on field investigation

* Perform possible field work to inspect tunnels and federal facilities

* Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures

* Perform assignments under the direct supervison of a professional or Project Manager

* Perform other duties as needed

This position is for Summer 2018 or Summer/Fall 2018


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
* Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Electrical Engineering program
* Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
* Knowledge and interest in control, lighting, and power distribution system
* Electrical machines fundamentals, circuits and systems, and microprocessors course work
* Basic Microsoft Office skills
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
* Attention to detail a must
* Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
* Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0 GPA
* Prior experience with drafting software AutoCAD or Microstation preferred
* Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
* Strong preference given to local candidates.
