Job/Internship Description

Seeking Spring Interns!

Do you want to work at the leading edge of technical computing? Do you want to help build the next generation of MATLAB? We are looking for a motivated, fast-learning candidate with experience in web development and an interest in building coding tools and web services in an HTML front end for MATLAB and other MathWorks products. You should have strong skills with JavaScript and be familiar with some of the prominent JavaScript libraries like jQuery. Other web technologies that may prove useful include Ruby on Rails, server-side programming in Java, JavaScript, or Python. You need to be able to work independently and solve problems creatively. You must be able to write and present clearly and articulately.

Responsibilities

You will be working on early stage projects for MathWorks that involve advanced code editing and web service integration.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Candidates must be pursuing a master's level or a PhD level degree in a technical discipline.
  • Experience with JavaScript
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Pluses:

  • Experience with MATLAB
  • Experience with server side programming in Java or JavaScript
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation skills in Java
