General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has multiple openings for Software Engineering Interns in our Taunton, MA location.

The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to perform technical activities that impact the design and manufacturing of advanced electronic systems. In addition, the Software Engineering Intern will enhance their skill-set by working among a talented and technically accomplished group of colleagues.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of software and systems products in a UNIX, Linux and/or Windows-based workstation environment. This role will offer you the opportunity to:

• Integrate as a member of a software development team and complete assigned tasks, that will nurture and expand your technical skills
• Learn systems in order to update information
• Enter data into various systems
• Research and document various data processes
• Abide by all safety procedures outlined by the company

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering or a related technical field, or the equivalent experience.
