We are currently seeking a candidate for a IT Applications Engineering College Co-op at our Southfield Office.


Support IT system related to Manufacturing operations and their support groups. Most of this support can be done remotely but there may be a trip required to a local AAM site. Work with the IPF development team to validate and update documentation.

Job Function:

1) Individual contributor that has a solid understanding and application of theoretical principals of computer systems.
2) Designs, tests, debugs, and maintains moderately complex computer systems.
3) Performs a variety of duties and tasks including set up, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of computer systems.
4) Applies standard application engineering techniques, practices, procedures, and criteria in all but the most complex situations.
5) Solves fairly complex user inquiries that may arise during day-to-day operations.
6) Performs assignments under minor direction and supervision.
7) Ability to work independently, and as a member of multi-functional team.
8) Communicate effectively with computer personnel, users, and other staff who may have no technical background.

Position Requirements:

1) Must be enrolled in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree program at a college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a graduation date of December 2018 or later.
2) Knowledge of Manufacturing operation (Data collection, validation, error proofing, Labeling, etc).

3) Knowledge of Databases (MS SQL Server).

4) Familiarity with Factory Automation Software (Iconics, Intellution, OPC).

5) Knowledge of Visual Studio and other Microsoft development tools.

6) Knowledge of Bar code Scanner and Printer.

7) Familiar with performing Backups of Operating Systems and Application.
