The Fox Internship Program provides mentoring and learning opportunities to help you develop your skills, network with Fox employees, and learn more about what it's like to work in the entertainment industry.

The role of the national publicity department at Fox Searchlight is to design and implement publicity campaigns, strategize with filmmakers and execute special projects. Interns will be exposed to marketing campaigns for all Searchlight films from the beginning of production to after release.

Projects/Tasks:
Interns will learn what goes into building a film campaign and work closely with the LA publicity teams responsible for promoting Fox Searchlight films. They will research potential publicity opportunities relating to Searchlight's current and future projects and help to create and implement publicity campaigns for multiple films at a time. Interns are encouraged to attend select meetings, screenings, press days and help out at events (some red carpet ones as well). The internship should be viewed as a true learning experience and questions are always welcome! Interns will receive a broad range of experiences also working closely with the Fox Searchlight photo editor, special events team and field / national publicity teams.

Learning Objectives:

This is an internship where you will have the opportunity see the inner workings of a publicity team and gain real world experience.



Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student, sophomore status or higher.
  • Must be eager, ready to learn, and help out with any task.
  • Must be responsible, punctual, and possesses good communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Must possess an interest in film publicity.
  • Must be hardworking, friendly and enthusiastic.
  • Must be able to create and seek out projects when needed and be an overall self-starter who thinks 'out of the box' and
    can multi-task.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills are highly important.
  • Prior internship experience in the film industry and/or public relations is also preferred.

To participate in Fox's Internship program you must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
  • Housing is not provided, so please have a housing option guaranteed before applying.
