Integrated Communications is a multimedia, service-focused communications operation that leads in shaping the impression of AARP by providing communications planning, support and execution for AARP’s strategic business units.
AARP's Integration Marketing & Member Benefits team is searching for a star intern for summer, 2018. if you are pursuing an undergraduate degree in marketing and especially interested in channel integration, emerging trends and how AARP markets to its 38 Million members, this is the internship for you!
Conduct internet research on emerging trends in consumer behavior, industry solutions, emerging channels and communication platforms, competitive landscape, etc. relative to our marketing programs: auto, caregiving, fraud, healthy living, hearing, online learning, savings & planning, travel, work & jobs, etc. These insights will be used to hone marketing campaign strategy, messaging, testing, targeting, and channel selection. They may also inform ongoing program design and content development.
Assist with marketing campaign execution and/or project management tasks. Tasks could include email test plan development, online paid media plan development, workflow initiation, working with creative agencies to secure creative assets, sourcing content for promotion in marketing campaigns, etc.
Research, plan, and/or compile submissions for marketing industry awards.
Develop and/or polish internal marketing planning and/or communication templates.
Interns must be currently enrolled in a degreed program at an accredited college or university; maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0; and be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors,
AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program.
