Job summary: Provide a variety of support functions for assigned team or department to gain business and work experiences and opportunities. The majority of the intern's time will be spent performing and/or assisting with professional level work. Intern may also perform clerical and administrative work as needed.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Seeking a candidate that has a desire to ultimately move into a role as a project manager. Candidate will be working in conjunction with senior staff in the administrative and monitoring of projects.
Candidate may be required to effectively interact with internal stakeholders and key supplier organizations (both direct and indirect) to ensure the needs and objectives of the project are met.
Working knowledge of the MS Project tool is desirable, in addition to Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint. A goal of the associate will ultimately be to work independently and to create and maintain a project plan.
Qualifications:
Applicant must be currently enrolled in collegiate coursework at an accredited university, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management and/or Finance.
3.0 cumulative GPA or higher required.
Displays good written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates strong computer skills including a good working knowledge of MS Office.
Additional skills, knowledge, and experience may be required based on the type of functions the incumbent will perform.
Entry level role. Full time or part time position during the school year - approximately 25 - 40 hours per week, with the possibility of becoming a full-time employee after graduation. The basic skills with moderate level of proficiency. Generally performs single-function tasks that tend to be of small to moderate size and scope. The intern would work under close supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment. This person consults with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience. Typically does not require prior related experience.
