Job Description:

Summary:

Throughout your 10 week internship, you will be an indispensable partner to the Business Technology, Support Services team. You will be focusing on the cost of capital and the cost of disposables to build out systems and tools to better understand insight for members to make better decisions from. By the time the internship ends you will have tools and materials cataloged and allow for easy access/use once the internship is over.

What we will do:

We will give you the tools and training necessary for you to succeed in our internship program while teaching you valuable skills that will transfer to your life outside of Vizient. Some experiences will include:

  • You will get exposure to Senior Leaders along with valuable training along the way.

  • You will participate in a Community Day Project (planning starts first week)

  • Sr. Leadership Presentations at the end of your internship

What you will do:

  • You will focus on taking disparate data primarily for lab items and help us aggregate that data into useful chunks to be used to help us have better knowledge of what our members are doing.
  • You will work closely with the Support Services team and you may connect directly with member to gain insight and feedback on the work being done.
  • You will assist us in gathering information that will help us differentiate our business and provide tools that make decision processes easier with better results.

What you will need:

  • Must have completed your junior year in an undergraduate program

  • Must have related experience in same or similar area; strong analytical, database & spreadsheet skills

  • Advanced knowledge of computer applications including but not limited to: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Candidate must demonstrate excellent problem solving skills and high level of competence with technology

  • Action oriented with high initiative and ability to think independently

  • Flexible, adaptive, agile, resourceful, self-starter, team player

  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting across the team and potentially with members

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Key Program Information

The program requires a full ten week commitment by the intern to participate in all developmental experiences including formal training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to interact with senior leaders. The Intern group also organizes a summer community service project and has teambuilding activities outside of work.

  • Program starts June 4 and ends August 10
  • 40 hrs per week and pay is $24 per hour
