The Fox Internship Program provides mentoring and learning opportunities to help you develop your skills, network with Fox employees, and learn more about what it's like to work in the entertainment industry.

The Fox Searchlight Acquisitions Intern will support our close knit team as we prepare for various film festivals and markets, including: Sundance Film Festival, Berlinale and Cannes. Our intern will assist with database management, project tracking, script & film evaluation, creation of materials for festivals and other projects as assigned.

Learning Objectives: An exciting opportunity to gain exposure to the acquisition process in a studio setting while learning the ins-and-outs of each festival. Our intern will also have the opportunity to gain experience evaluating material while receiving feedback and mentoring throughout their internship.


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student. If an undergraduate, must be a sophomore or above.
  • Must have an interest in film acquisitions and have some familiarity with the independent film markets and the festival circuit.

  • Prior experience evaluating material and giving both written and verbal feedback.

  • Uses time efficiently and completes projects in a timely manner.

  • Must be comfortable working with a sense of urgency and in high pressure situations.

  • Must be resourceful and able to work autonomously on a variety of projects with a "no task too small" mentality.

  • Excels with attention to detail and clear communication. Takes direction and applies it consistently.

  • Prior internship experience in the film industry is required.

To participate in Fox's Internship program you must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
  • Housing is not provided, so please have a housing option guaranteed before applying.
