OVERVIEW:

An internship at Toro provides you with real-world corporate experience, and an opportunity to learn and develop technical and communication skills while working with teams and alongside business leaders. Interns will have the opportunity to work cross functionally to add value to a growing global organization.

As a Tax Intern, you will become a key member of the tax department. You will be responsible for completing day-to-day tasks, as well as long-term projects. These projects provide opportunities to add value to the organization and may influence decision-making, growth and profitability at Toro. You will also participate in a Finance Intern group project that will impact Toro at the Finance (or even enterprise) level. At the end of your internship, you will formally present your project to Finance senior management.

To be eligible for this program, you must be a student currently enrolled in a business related degree program with a graduation date no earlier than December 2018 and be interested in a career in a business/finance/accounting-related field. This is a paid internship.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Federal and state tax return compliance - income tax and sales/use tax.
• Tax research.
• Tax controversy - IRS and state taxing authorities.
• Tax planning projects.
• Accounting for income taxes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a student currently enrolled in a business related degree program with a graduation date no earlier than December 2018.
• Must be interested in a career in a business/finance/accounting-related field.
• Must have strong leadership and critical thinking skills.
• Must demonstrate an ability to take initiative and drive results.
• Previous tax coursework is preferred.
• Experience in Excel preferred.
