Responsibilities:
1. Perform Cryoprecipitated AHF Quality Control testing on donor samples using automated coagulation analyzer. Perform quality control and all equipment maintenance according to defined time lines. Interpret test results and identify and resolve testing problems or refers it to the appropriate level.
2. Perform basic and complex donor and patient testing for platelet/neutrophil antigen and/or antibody. Perform quality control and all equipment maintenance according to defined time lines. Interpret test results and identify and resolve testing problems or refer it to the appropriate level.
3. Perform IgA testing. Perform quality control and all equipment maintenance according to defined time lines. Interpret test results and identify and resolve testing problems or refer it to the appropriate level.
4. Perform duties associated with supply and reagent management, to include ordering, receiving, inspecting, preparing, and performing acceptance/qualification of supplies and reagents, as indicated.
5. Perform entry and review of cryo QC data into cryo QC database.

Scope
Interacts with internal and external customers to meet customer needs and to foster a team environment. Maintains high level of customer service.


Qualifications
MT (ASCP) or BB (ASCP) or equivalent and Bachelor Degree with major in a biological science or related field with minimum of 1 year of directly related laboratory experience; OR MLT (ASCP) or equivalent with minimum of 3 years of related laboratory experience required.
