Primary Responsibilities

HDR EOC is looking for Construction Inspectors (Quality Assurance Representatives) to join our team. The Construction Inspectors will act as Quality Assurance Representatives and will maintain surveillance over one or more contract construction projects of routine and/or complex nature for a resident/area office at one or more work sites, usually involving more than one contractor (depending upon the size and scope of projects assigned). Projects may be based in, but are not limited to the Fayetteville and Goldsboro, NC areas. Projects may include the construction, rehabilitation and/or renovation of barracks complexes, family housing, commissary and PX facilities, administrative use structures, classrooms, mess halls, gymnasiums, chapels, roads, parking areas, streets, bridges, general utility systems (including heating, air conditioning, electrical, etc.), dispensaries, various special use single or multiple-story buildings such as laboratories, hospitals training facilities, warehouses and maintenance facilities,runway extensions, and appurtenant facilities.

Other responsibilities may include:
  • Review of contract plans and specifications to determine job work requirements and time schedules
  • Preparing daily reports covering quality assurance inspections in accordance with current requirements
  • Review of quality control reports and resolve conflicts with quality assurance reports and conditions
  • Interacting with the contractor's safety personnel and monitor the implementation of safe working conditions

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years experience in construction practices, procedures and testing of federal projects
Knowledge of USACE Quality Assurance Process
Knowledge of USACE Safety Protocols - EM 385-1-1
Ability to conduct construction inspections & understanding of three phase inspection process
General knowledge of Government Construction Management Software - RMS
Due to client contract requirements, only candidates with US citizenship will be considered for this position, as permitted pursuant to section 274B(a)(2)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act
Must be able to pass government background check.
