Primary Responsibilities

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Construction Inspector to join our growing Construction Control Corporation.
The primary duties of the Construction Inspector 2 position require familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes . These duties include conducting and documenting observations of construction as it progresses. Additional duties may include conducting or coordinating concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testing. The Construction Inspector monitors records and inspects progress on construction projects while maintaining daily records. They may have involvement in client development and project pursuit and receive supervision from Project Managers. The ideal candidate will typically possess three years of progressive experience as a Construction Inspector on a multidisciplinary project and will have the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent experience.
  • 5 years overall experience as a Construction Inspector.
  • 3 years of progressive experience including at least 1 year of relevant experience as a Construction Inspector on a multidisciplinary project.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • Proven problem solving and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing.
  • HDR is a drug and alcohol free environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Technical school or Associate degree beneficial.
