HDR Engineering has outstanding leadership opportunity for a Senior Transportation Project Manager to become a part of HDR's expanding Southern California presence. The successful candidate will be client focused and have the ability to proactively market and manage transportation engineering design projects and to help grow our Southern California Transportation group. Responsibilities include the following: assisting with business development for the transportation market; project management (including planning, directing, and monitoring) of transportation projects from concept through final design; management of subconsultants and technical support staff; exceeding client expectations for quality, schedule and budget; maintaining close relationships with potential clients, tracking upcoming project opportunities, and collaborating on project pursuits. This position could be based in Los Angeles, Riverside, Long Beach, San Diego, or Irvine.

Qualifications
BS in a related engineering discipline. PE is strongly preferred. California PE is strongly preferred. 10 years of highway or rail project management experience is required. MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus). Demonstrated business development and strategic planning skills. Good communication leadership planning and mentoring skills. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
